Want to claim a free cookbook and fight hunger? #feedthehope

That’s right, today I’d like to share with you a free cookbook and give you an opportunity to play a role in fighting hunger in Canada. Help Us Feed the Hope – that’s the title of an initiative by Catelli Foods in collaboration with chefs and dietitians {including me!} across Canada.

You are going to love this cookbook and campaign. Here’s why!

  1. You get recipes created by top chefs (in collaboration with top dietitians) across Canada. Here in Calgary, I suggested three ingredients for Chef Michael Batke to use with some form of pasta in one magical dish. Let me just say that I forced Chef to be creative in the kitchen!
  2. You get to learn about nutrition as you cook. Each dietitian involved in the project submitted one healthy tip to feature in the cookbook.
  3. Each recipe can feed a family of four for less than $15. How’s that for eating on a budget?
  4. For each cookbook downloaded, servings of pasta will be donated by Catelli Foods to a Canadian food bank {awesome, right?}. As part of this campaign, Catelli hopes to donate 1 million servings of pasta to Canadian food banks. This will certainly help the 850, 000 people who use turn to food banks EACH MONTH in Canada. Everyone deserves an opportunity to have nourishing and pleasing foods available. You can help.

Chef Michael and I joined CTV to talk all about the initiative in collaboration with Catelli Foods.
